Cheers for Roy Peter Clark, who has produced a great tool box for all of us who love to improve our ability to write truth to power:
Writing Tools: 50 Essential Strategies for Every Writer (Little, Brown and Company, 2006) 272 pages, hardcover, $19.99
ISBN-13: 978-0316014984 (also in paperback, and you can often find low prices at half.com . . . )!
I do not know this author and am not being paid to promote his book, but I learn (or re-learn) something every time I open it. In addition to short, beautifully written "strategies," he includes "workshop" exercises to practice alone or with a writing group.
Anyone who has lost a child to a corrupt cabal in custody court needs a support group anyway, and a writing-truth-to-power group (or just one writing partner) may help focus grief and outrage in productive ways.
